Hi, my name is Rosa, I am a self-taught artist specializing in watercolor pet portraits &  sketch portraits.

For me, art began as a way to decompress from the hectic life of a corporate career. I found the act of sketching, and painting as a meditative practice. Soon, friends & family began to ask me to paint their pets, and that is when I discovered how fulfilling and meaningful painting can truly be. I invested time and energy into learning new skills and have now been painting commissioned pieces since 2020. Whether it's your pet or a loved one, I know the importance of capturing the essence of  a portrait and understand the amount of trust involved when it comes to choosing an artist; this is not a task I take lightly. I  meticulously examine the reference photo to ensure that I capture even the smallest detail. This is when my creative process starts, and from then I live, breathe, and dream about the colors, texture, and depth of the portrait. 

 I do not believe in limiting myself. If you have a project in mind for a commissioned piece, please email me to discuss how I can best help you. I love painting landscapes, florals, and have sketched some amazing celebrity portraits in graphite & pastel. 

 I am also a published writer and poet. I have written custom wedding scripts for Officiants, vows, eulogies, resumes and commencement speeches. Again, if you have a project, just reach out!
